Hi, I think I have bedbugs in my apt. Until the problem is resolved, is it a good idea to sleep on a plastic aerobed? I read they can’t climb the sides (and of course they can’t live inside because it’s full of air)?
it sounds like a good idear i would go with it.but be careful to wash the blankets you are using know or it would be pointless to get the bed they will just accumulate there.

It still inflates. The puncture holes were made with a knife. Thanks in advance.
Much easier patching the holes in a bed, than in you ….here is a couple of methods

I have a beautiful Aero Bed for my guests. Everything works but the air release valve pops open and I can’t keep the bed filled with air. Can anyone help?
Duct tape over the valve. The fitted sheet will cover it.

I’m looking to buy an air mattress. I have heard that Aero Beds are the best and I am wondering if that is true. I am thinking I would like to buy the pillow top queen size air mattress.
I would not recommend these. I went through three of these in one year. They are very poor quality and do not hold up to certain activities.

I would like to buy an air bed, can you hear some noise when you sleep over it? Raised or not? I think it’s a kind of plastic so can you sleep comfortably during hot nights in summer? Do they make a lot of noise when you use the electrical pump? I’m looking for guest bed for 2 people during weekends and have no space for real bed. thanks
I’ve got an aerobed and have had it for 10 years. It gets used 4 or 5 times a year, a week or two at a time. I slept on it when I first got it to make sure it was comfortable and it really is. I use mine for house guests and so far it has been great, no leaks. The raised bed is definitely more comfortable for most people. The pump makes some noise, but not as much as a vacuum cleaner.
It has a velvety top but adding a mattress pad will make it even more comfortable.

This is going to be a long story, so get ready.
My son is twelve and he will be thirteen soon, and he has horrible sleeping problems. What I would do when he was little is watch tv with him in his room, and later, I would watch tv and sit with him while he drifts off, and then when he fell asleep, I would go to my room and sleep. About 3 and a half years ago, he started doing this thing where he would not be able to fall asleep at all, and while trying to get to sleep, he would work up a mad sweat, and then not be able to fall asleep at all. He says that he thinks he hears things in his room walking around, which is weird because, one time when I was sitting in his room, it seemed like I heard someone moving around in his room. not like rustling things around, just sort of like how you think you being watched kind of movement, I think it is because the tv emits sound, which he nervously interprets as movement.
Anyway, when he did fall asleep, with me sitting there with him, he would sleep fine and wakeup fine. Then when he was in the third grade of so, he went back to working up a sweat, but then waking up at around 1 in the morning. When he woke up, he would kind of like make noises, which would mean he was awake, I guess. Either me or my wife would go to his room, and carry his crying ass back to our room where he would sleep in our bed. When this continued, he was to big to fit in our bed, so we let him sleep on the floor next to us, which began to happen so often that he needed an aero-bed to sleep on next to out bed, which he cleans, washes, and inflates daily. Eventually, this became so much of a habit, that he would nocturnally walk back to our room, which he would not remember in the morning, he says. My wife and I have considered shutting his bed room door on the way out to brake the habit, but we can’t because there is a staircase next to his room where he could very easily trip, and fall 20 feet into the living room. He has a bedtime snack of cheez-itz and ice water, and wears glasses for tv watching, which I guess could strain his eyes. What should I do? He is going to be thirteen soon, and he needs to break this habit. What should I do?
My oldest daughter is 10 and has always had sleep issues. Here are a few things we have found to help both our girls at bedtime. Leave a night light on, and instrumental music so it is not just dead silence, you can leave it on repeat all if necessary. Absolutely no TV, they can read for hours if need be but no TV. They leave on the night light and use a flashlight to read with (they like that). I lay with them for 10 or 15 minutes and that is that. If they get up (unless its a nightmare) they go back to bed. My youngest rarely has sleep issues but my oldest I finally had to just send back to her bed to cry it out. She can read and I have told her she can write in a journal/notebook but she is old enough to not be coming to my room 10 times a night. It was really hard but after a week she was sleeping through the night. I did this in 3rd grade I think. She is now in 5th and sleeps through the night 95% of the time. I also switched all her medicines to the morning. I had always given her vitamins at dinner and my step dad told me they keep him awake. There is also the obvious of no caffeine/sugary drinks in the evening. Exercise is also key for her sleep. When she is in ball this is never an issue. She is just the type of person who needs daily exercise to sleep. You just have to give him things to do when he is awake and be firm about him coming into your room. I used to take her back each time then I finally just sent her back alone and that stopped a lot of it when she had to go back on her own.
We have 3 different instrumental CD’s we got out of the baby section at Wal-Mart, just take the cover off if that will bother him, they are really pretty and relaxing. One has nature sounds blended in with the music. They are from Fisher-Price. My girls are 8 and 10 and still listen to them at night when they go to sleep. Be sure to monitor what books he chooses to read, that none of them are scary. I let my girls read those books but NOT at bedtime.
